Ballet

Ballet is one of the most well known forms of dance and is great for students of any age. Ballet teaches excellent self-discipline along with helping to improve strength, flexibility, posture and balance. No matter if your child (or you - as we have an adult ballet class!) has visions of becoming the next prima ballerina or not, ballet has a number of fantastic benefits.

Tap

Tap has evolved as an American dance form, popularised throughout the world. The dancer wears shoes fitted with heel and toe taps. They use their tap shoes to strike the floor, like a kind of percussion. Tap is great fun at any age and teaches you co-ordination and rhythm.

Modern Theatre

Modern theatre dance is often seen on the stages of musical productions and is know for its theatrical qualities. The style uses travelling steps, high kicks, leaps and turns which all need strength and flexibility. This is a highly energetic dance style.

Jazz

Jazz is the ideal way to develop well-rounded dance skills. Lively, energetic and creatively diverse, jazz combines styles and techniques from a variety of popular dance forms.

Acrobatics

Acrobatics is the performance of extraordinary feats of balance, agility, and motor co-ordination. Acro teaches strength, limbering, flexibility, tumbling and balancing. It is fantastic for self-discipline and an excellent complimentary programme for other dance genres, especially ballet, modern and jazz. In the ever changing industry, dancers are required to demonstrate their ability to perform 'tricks' such as forward and backward walkovers, back handsprings and ariels - Acro is the perfect class to teach these skills safely!

Drama

Drama classes allow students to build confidence and express themselves. Students get the opportunity to work on scripts and improvisation, whilst also learning valuable performance skills. Drama can have a huge impact on children's communication skills; it teaches them not only how to speak loudly, clearly and with confidence, but has effect on all forms of communication.

Performance Group

All students have the chance to join our performance group, which focuses on combining dance, drama and music, whilst preparing for upcoming shows and events. Musical Theatre features heavily in our performance group, with the students working with visiting teachers and becoming versatile in a number of performance styles.
