TIME TO SHINE!
Students of ALADD have the chance to perform in our professional productions and selected students are put forward for dance examinations.
Examinations
The ALADD is registered with RAD, ISTD and Acrobatic Arts. This means that selected students get the chance to take part in various exams across all genres should they wish to. These examinations are recognised by Qfqual and can be put towards UCAS points.
Shows & Performances
Every other year the entire Academy takes part in our school production in Manchester City Centre. This is a professional production, complete with costumes, make-up and scenary. These are always lots of fun and the students wish we did them more often! Along with our main show, we also take part in local festivals and showcases, giving those students who want to perform the opportunity to do so.
Our next school production will be taking place on 23rd & 24th June 2018 at The Dancehouse Theatre, Manchester. Tickets will go on sale in the next few months.
Summer School
Summer School runs every year in July & August and is always great fun! Children come Monday-Friday 10.00-3.30pm and work on various different songs, dances and scenes. On the last afternoon parents can come along and watch the performance the students have prepared.
